HbCOM Sachet Orange Flavor is an orosoluble iron supplement used to manage or manage low blood levels of iron (Ex. due to anemia or during pregnancy). It contains ferrous fumarate, folic acid, and vitamin C as active ingredients which helps in the production of red blood cells.
Ferrous ascorbate is a synthetic molecule of ascorbic acid and iron which keeps iron in highly soluble ferrous form. Folic acid is necessary for the production of nucleic acids and heme (a pigmented, iron-carrying component of the haemoglobin in red blood cells).
Folic acid is also essential for neural tube development during pregnancy which forms the brain and spinal cord of the baby. Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) helps improve the absorption of iron from the stomach.
