GATIQUIN P EYE DROPS is a combination of Gatifloxacin and Prednisolone which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics and Corticosteroids respectively. It is used for post-operative inflammation and any other ocular inflammation associated with infection.
Ocular steroids are indicated in inflammatory conditions of the palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva, cornea and anterior segment of the globe where the inherent risk of steroid use in certain infective conjunctivitis is accepted to obtain a diminution in oedema and inflammation. They are also indicated in chronic anterior uveitis and corneal injury from chemical radiation or thermal burns or penetration of foreign bodies.
Before using GATIQUIN P EYE DROPS inform your doctor if you have heart disease, liver or kidney disease. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctors before using GATIQUIN P EYE DROPS.
The most common side effects are blurred vision, mild eye irritation, eye redness. Consult your doctor if any of the above side effects worsen or persists for a longer duration.
