FAMTAC 40MG TABLET contains Famotidine which belongs to the group of medicines called H2 receptor antagonists. It is used in management of stomach ulcers (gastric/duodenal ulcers), reflux esophagitis (irritation and inflammation caused by stomach acid leaking up into the oesophagus) and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (recurrent tumours and ulcers in stomach and intestines).
Along with FAMTAC 40MG TABLET, your doctor might ask you to take enough rest and drink plenty of fluids. Consuming simple foods and avoiding oily and spicy foods might be beneficial as well. Before starting the management with FAMTAC 40MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have a kidney disease, tumour in your stomach or are intolerant to certain sugars.
FAMTAC 40MG TABLET should not be used in pregnant and breast-feeding women unless considered necessary by your doctor, therefore contact your doctor. FAMTAC 40MG TABLET is not recommended for use in children. The most common side effects of using FAMTAC 40MG TABLET are headache, dizziness, constipation and diarrhoea. Inform your doctor if any of the above side effects worsen.
