ETHAMO 125 INJECTION contains Ethamsylate, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihemorrhagic drugs. It is used to manage bleeding from the blood vessels and to manage bleeding before or after an operation.
Ethamsylate exerts hemostatic action by improving platelet adhesiveness and restoring capillary (blood vessels) resistance. It decreases bleeding time and increases platelet clumping which reduces capillary bleeding and improves capillary wall stability. Before the management, your doctor might want to do certain blood tests to understand your existing condition.
ETHAMO 125 INJECTION is not recommended for use if you have porphyria (defect in the synthesis of haemoglobin) or bronchial asthma. Before receiving ETHAMO 125 INJECTION inform your doctor if you have hypotension or unstable blood pressure. ETHAMO 125 INJECTION should be used with caution in pregnant women. It is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor if you experience any unusual effects while receiving ETHAMO 125 INJECTION.
