ESAVA OINTMENT contains Ketoconazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Antifungals. It is used in adults to manage fungal and yeast infections which may appear on the skin of the hands, feet, genital area, trunk, groin, scalp, face, chest or back.
ESAVA OINTMENT is not recommended for eye infections. Before applying ESAVA OINTMENT, inform your doctor if you are using a cream, ointment or lotion that contains a steroid.
ESAVA OINTMENT can be used if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, however, consult your doctor for advice. ESAVA OINTMENT is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (under 18 years of age).
The most common side effects of applying ESAVA OINTMENT are burning sensation, skin redness, or itching. If any of the symptoms worsen, contact your doctor.
