DORCARE 2% OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION contains Dorzolamide which belongs to the group of medicines called Ophthamic anti-glaucoma agents. It is used to manage glaucoma. Glaucoma is group of eye condition that damages the optic nerve (nerves which are responsible for proper vision). It is characterized by increased pressure within the eyes caused due to impaired secretion or drainage of fluids (aqueous humour) within the eyes.
DORCARE 2% OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION is for ophthalmic use only. Instil few drops of the medicine into the affected eye(s). Do not touch the tip of the dropper with your eye or other body surface to avoid contamination. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove the lens before applying DORCARE 2% OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION and wait for at least 15 minutes before reinsertion.
Before using DORCARE 2% OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION inform your doctor if you have any liver or kidney problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have any other eye problems apart from glaucoma (such as eye infections or eye surgery) as a precaution.
Do not use DORCARE 2% OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION without consulting your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The most common side effects of using DORCARE 2% OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION are burning or stinging of eyes, sore eyes, blurred vision, bitter taste and headache. Consult your doctor if any of the side effect bothers you.
