DECITEX 50MG INJECTION contains Decitabine which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-cancer agents. It is used in adults to manage myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS-group of cancers associated with blood and bone marrow) and acute myeloid leukemia (cancer of blood cells).
Before receiving DECITEX 50MG INJECTION inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have low RBC, WBC or platelet count in blood or currently have any infection as a precaution. DECITEX 50MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Both men and women of childbearing potential must use a suitable contraceptive to avoid pregnancy while undergoing therapy with this medicine. Men may seek advice on sperm preservation, if necessary, prior to the therapy with this medicine.
The most common side effects of receiving DECITEX 50MG INJECTION are increased bleeding, increased infections, tiredness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, sore nose and throat, and ulcers of mouth or tongue. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects trouble you.
