Crotorax 10% Lotion is a topical scabicidal and antipruritic medicine used to provide relief from scabies and severe skin itchiness (pruritus). It can also be used to relieve skin itching and discomfort caused due to sun burns. It contains Crotamiton as the active ingredient.
Crotamiton is a scabicidal and antipruritic agent. It controls scabies by killing the susceptible mites that causes scabies. It also produces a cooling sensation on the skin which helps in diverting your body's attention away from skin irritation, itching and discomfort.
Crotorax 10% Lotion is for external use only. Gently massage the Crotorax 10% Lotion on the affected skin areas from chin to toes, including nails, folds and creases. If you are using this lotion on your nails, apply the lotion using a toothbrush after trimming your nails. Following use, wrap up the toothbrush in a paper and dispose it carefully.
Your doctor may ask you to reapply this medicine after 24 hours if needed, followed by a shower/bathe after 24-48 hours. You must also wash your clothes and bed linen the next day to achieve better protection from infection. Avoid contact of this lotion with your eyes, ears, nose and mouth. In case of accidental contact, consult your doctor for advice.
Before using Crotorax 10% Lotion inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or having any other skin conditions or cuts or open wounds on the skin as a precaution. Do not use Crotorax 10% Lotion in children without consulting a doctor.
