Comedolytic Cream is a keratolytic agent used in the management of acne vulgaris and other keratolytic conditions. It removes dry and dead skin cells, and removes comedones, blackheads and whiteheads. It can also be used as adjunctive therapy in managing signs of aging such as wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, etc. It contains tretinoin as an active ingredient. Tretinoin is a vitamin A derivative (Retinoids). It works by reducing abnormal skin cell division that causes excessive thickening of skin cells and stimulates the shredding of comedones and dead skin cells, leading to skin peeling followed by the formation of fresh, newer skin cells. Due to its antioxidant properties, it also helps in reducing wrinkles and fine lines and makes your skin look young and plump. Always use Comedolytic Cream as advised by your doctor. It is for external use only. Apply the required amount of the medicine on the affected skin areas. Wash your hands before and after application. While using Comedolytic Cream, avoid exposing your skin towards direct sun light or undergoing skin managements like chemical peeling, electrolysis, waxing, etc. Protect your skin by using a suitable sunscreen and cover them while going outdoors. Do not apply Comedolytic Cream in areas of sun burn. Before using Comedolytic Cream, inform your doctor if you have any other skin conditions as a precaution. Do not use Comedolytic Cream without consulting your doctor if you are allergic to tretinoin, have a previous history of eczema or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding as a precaution. Avoid contact of Comedolytic Cream with eyes, eyelids, nostrils, mouth and mucous membranes. In case of accidental contact, careful washing with water is recommended.
