CFI 200 TABLET is a combination of Cefixime and Lactobacillus, which belong to the group of medicines called Antibiotics and Probiotics, respectively. CFI 200 TABLET is used in the management of bacterial infections like tonsillitis, pharyngitis, pneumonia, bronchitis, and other respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and urinary tract infections. Lactobacillus is used to manage diarrhea associated with the intake of cefixime.
Before taking CFI 200 TABLET, inform your doctor if you have swelling or inflammation of the large intestine (colon), kidney impairment, intestinal damage, had bowel surgery recently, and if you are allergic to other cephalosporin antibiotics, including penicillin.
CFI 200 TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant women, and it is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. CFI 200 TABLET is not recommended for use in children under 10 years of age, and it should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above).
The common side effects of taking CFI 200 TABLET are nausea, vomiting, indigestion, and headache. Consult with your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.
