CARISOMA 350MG TABLET contains Carisoprodol which belongs to the group of medicines called Skeletal muscle relaxants. CARISOMA 350MG TABLET is used in adults to relieve discomfort associated with acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions, which are disorders that affect muscles, bones, and/or joints in affected individuals.
CARISOMA 350MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Carisoprodol. It is also not recommended for use in patients suffering from acute intermittent porphyria (a rare metabolic disorder).
Before taking CARISOMA 350MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you suffer from reduced CYP2C19 activity (enzyme responsible for drug metabolism), and/or have kidney problems (such as renal impairment), or liver problems (such as hepatic impairment).
CARISOMA 350MG TABLET should be used with caution during pregnancy only if it is clearly necessary since there is no extensive information on its effect on pregnant women. It is also advised to be used with caution in breastfeeding women since the medicine may pass through breastmilk.
CARISOMA 350MG TABLET is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 16 years) as it is not evaluated in this age group. It is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above) after consulting the doctor.
The most common side effects of taking CARISOMA 350MG TABLET are drowsiness, dizziness, and/or headache. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsens.
