BRIMTOFAST EYE DROPS contains Bimatoprost which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-glaucoma preparations. It is used to manage glaucoma. Glaucoma is group of eye condition that damages the optic nerve (nerves which are responsible for proper vision). It is characterized by increased pressure within the eyes. It is caused due to impaired secretion or drainage of fluids (aqueous humour) within the eyes.
Bimatoprost improves the drainage of the accumulated fluids (aqueous humour) from the eye. As a result, it helps in reducing the elevated pressure within the eye. Prior to the management, your doctor would take certain eye tests to understand your existing condition.
Before using BRIMTOFAST EYE DROPS, inform your doctor if you had undergone any surgery in your eyes (such as cataract) as a precaution. You must also inform your doctor if you have infections in your eye or any underlying heart conditions (such as low blood pressure or low heart rate).
During management with BRIMTOFAST EYE DROPS, you may experience certain changes in your eye such as sunken eyes, eyelid drooping, skin tightening around the eyes, sudden growth in eyelashes or darkness around the eyes or in the iris. These side effects are usually temporary and disappears once therapy is stopped.
