BONISTA CARTRIDGE is used in the management of osteoporosis. It contains a medicine called
teriparatide
which is an anabolic agent that is used to make the bones stronger, and to reduce the risk of fractures by stimulating bone formation.
BONISTA CARTRIDGE works by causing the body to build new bone by increasing bone strength and bone mass density (BMD) (thickness) and reduce the risk of fractures by stimulating bone formation.
BONISTA CARTRIDGE is not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women. It is also not recommended for use in patients with Paget’s disease, bone cancer or other cancers, certain bone diseases and hypercalcemia.
The most common side effects of BONISTA CARTRIDGE are dizziness, leg cramps, mild headache, tachycardia, hypercalcemia symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, constipation, low energy, or muscle weakness. Consult your doctor if any of the above side effects worsens or persists for a longer duration.
