BETAGAN EYE DROPS contains Levobunolol which belongs to a group of medicines called Beta blockers. BETAGAN EYE DROPS is used to manage glaucoma, which is a condition that occurs due to build-up of pressure within the eye generally characterized by symptoms such as severe headache, blurred vision, and/or eye redness in affected individuals.
BETAGAN EYE DROPS is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Levobunolol. It is also not recommended for use in patients with/history of asthma/other lung diseases (such as severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), and/or heart diseases (such as slow heartbeat, heart failure/heartbeat disorders).
Before using BETAGAN EYE DROPS, inform your doctor if you suffer from poor blood circulation disease (such as Raynaud’s disease/syndrome), diabetes, overactive thyroid, and/or scheduled for any surgery.
BETAGAN EYE DROPS is generally not recommended for use during pregnancy unless it is clearly necessary. It is also not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless it is needed.
BETAGAN EYE DROPS is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years) and is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above) after consulting the doctor.
The most common side effects of using BETAGAN EYE DROPS are eye irritation, eye pain, and/or inflammation of outermost layer of the eyes/eyelids. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsens.
