BENZONIX GEL Wash is used in the management of acne. It is used on the face, chest, or back where the skin has a lot of blackheads, spots, and pimples. It contains Benzoyl peroxide , which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-bacterial and Anti-inflammatory agents that attack the bacteria known as Propionibacterium acnes, one of the main causes of acne. BENZONIX GEL Wash is not recommended for severe acne and/or on the skin with deeper pits and dents, broken and/or damaged skin, or for people who are allergic to benzoyl peroxide and/or any other ingredient found in BENZONIX GEL Wash. It is not recommended for use by pregnant and breastfeeding women unless necessary. Consult your doctor before using BENZONIX GEL Wash. It is recommended to use only those products that are labelled as non-comedogenic to prevent clogging of pores. Avoid applying BENZONIX GEL Wash around your eyes, including eyelids and other mucous membranes. Also, care must be taken not to apply BENZONIX GEL Wash to broken or damaged skin or to skin with dents or scars. The most common side effects of using BENZONIX GEL Wash are skin tension, burning, stinging, itching, peeling, and reddening of the skin. Consult your doctor if any of the above reactions bother you.
