BENOVAT 45MG TABLET contains Idebenone which belongs to the group of medicines called Antioxidants. BENOVAT 45MG TABLET is used in the management of Friedreich’s ataxia (a rare inherited disease that cause progressive nervous system damage and movement problems) and vision impairment in Leber’s hereditary optic neuropathy, which is a genetic disorder that cause vision loss in affected individuals.
BENOVAT 45MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Idebenone.
Before taking BENOVAT 45MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you are suffering from liver, and/or kidney disease.
BENOVAT 45MG TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women only if it is clearly necessary since there is no sufficient information on its use in both special groups.
BENOVAT 45MG TABLET should be used with caution in children and adolescents (aged 9 to 17 years) and is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years/above) after consulting the doctor.
The most common side effects of taking BENOVAT 45MG TABLET are nasopharyngitis (common cold), cough, diarrhea, and/or back pain. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsens.
