AZITHRAL EYE DROPS contains Azithromycin which belongs to a group of medicines called Macrolide antibiotics. It is used to manage bacterial conjunctivitis (bacterial infection that affects mucous membrane of eye) caused by susceptible microorganisms such as Haemophilus influenzae, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus mitis group, and Streptococcus pneumonia in affected individuals.
AZITHRAL EYE DROPS is not recommended for use in patients allergic to azithromycin. Before using the medicine, inform your doctor if you wear contact lenses.
AZITHRAL EYE DROPS should be used with caution in pregnant women only if it is clearly necessary which is also used caution in breastfeeding women as it is not known whether the medicine gets excreted in the breast milk. Consult your doctor before using the medicine.
AZITHRAL EYE DROPS should be used with caution in children and adolescents (aged 1 to 18 years) which is also used with caution in elderly patients (aged above 87 years). Consult your doctor before using the medicine.
The most common side effect of using AZITHRAL EYE DROPS is eye irritation. Consult your doctor if the symptom worsens.
