AXPERO 1 TABLET contains
Axitinib
which belongs to the group of medicines called Kinase inhibitors. It manages advanced kidney tumour in adults, when another medicine (called sunitinib or a cytokine) is no longer stopping disease from progressing.
AXPERO 1 TABLET works by reducing the blood supply to the cancer cells and slows down the growth of cancer. Avoid consumption of grapefruit during treatment with AXPERO 1 TABLET.
Before taking AXPERO 1 TABLET, inform your doctor if you have high blood pressure, have had a recent problem with blood clots in your veins and arteries including stroke, heart attack, embolism, or thrombosis, thyroid gland problems, bleeding problems, aneurysm, liver problem or have an operation or an unhealed wound.
AXPERO 1 TABLET is generally not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women and in children (aged below 18 years) unless advised by the doctor.
The most common side effects of taking AXPERO 1 TABLETare diarrhoea, nausea or vomiting, stomach ache, indigestion, soreness of the mouth, tongue or throat, and constipation. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.
