ATM KID 100MG TABLET is used in pediatric patients to manage mild-to-moderate infections caused by susceptible strains of designated microorganisms such as acute otitis media, pharyngitis/tonsillitis, sinusitis, acute bronchitis, and community-acquired pneumonia.
It is also used to manage uncomplicated skin and soft tissue infections, which is also indicated for use to manage genital infections such as urethritis and cervicitis (caused by Chlamydia trachomatis) in affected children.
It contains a medicine called
azithromycin
, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics that works by preventing the growth of bacteria and helps clear up the infection.
ATM KID 100MG TABLET is not recommended for use in children allergic to azithromycin, erythromycin, and/or other macrolide/ketolide antibiotics. It is also not recommended for use in children suffering from cholestatic jaundice, hepatic dysfunction, and/or severe liver disease.
Before administering ATM KID 100MG TABLET, inform your doctor if the child has kidney and/or heart problems.
ATM KID 100MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women since it is used only in children
and adolescents (aged 6 months to 18 years). It is also not recommended for use in elderly patients.
The most common side effects of administering ATM KID 100MG TABLET in children are diarrhea, stomach pain, vomiting, nausea, rash, headache, and/or altered taste sensation. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms become worse in the child.
