ASCORIL SF EXPECTORANT is used in the relief of cough associated with bronchitis, bronchial asthma, emphysema, and other bronchopulmonary disorders where bronchospasm, mucous plugging, and problems of expectoration co-exist (lung and airway diseases that have excessive and thick mucus formation, swelling, and inflammation of airways, making it difficult to breathe).
ASCORIL SF EXPECTORANT is a combination of Ambroxol, Guaiphenesin, and Terbutaline, which belong to the group of medicines called Mucolytics, Expectorant, and Beta agonists, respectively. Ambroxol thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to cough out. Guaiphenesin is an expectorant that decreases the stickiness of mucus and helps in its removal from the airways. Terbutaline works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widening the airways.

The common side effects of ASCORIL SF EXPECTORANT are tremor (shaky hands), headache, tachycardia (heat beats faster), palpitations (feeling aware of your heartbeat), muscle spasms, and hypokalaemia (low plasma potassium levels).
