ARKACAL D3 60K GRANULES contains Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) which belongs to the group of medicines called Vitamin D analogue. It is used to manage Vitamin D deficiency. This may occur when your diet or lifestyle does not provide you with enough vitamin D or when your body requires more vitamin D during pregnancy.
Along with this management, your doctor might advise you to eat and drink foods rich in calcium. Your doctor might want to take certain blood tests prior to the management to understand the existing condition.
ARKACAL D3 60K GRANULES is not recommended for use if you have high levels of calcium in the blood, malabsorption syndrome, hypervitaminosis D, renal osteodystrophy (kidney disease weakening the bones) with hyperphosphataemia.
Before taking ARKACAL D3 60K GRANULES, inform your doctor if you have impaired kidney or liver function, are immobilized due to osteoporosis, sarcoidosis (a multisystem chronic inflammatory condition which can affect your lungs, heart and kidneys) and hyperlipidemia (high lipid levels).
ARKACAL D3 60K GRANULES should be used with caution in pregnant or breastfeeding women. It should be used with caution in children and elderly patients. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any unusual effects during management with this medicine.
