AMIXIDE H TABLET is a combination of Amitriptyline and Chlordiazepoxide which belongs to the group of medicines called Tricyclic antidepressants and Benzodiazepines respectively. It is used to manage moderate to severe depression and anxiety in adults.
It is not recommended to take AMIXIDE H TABLET if you have severe liver disease, breathing difficulties while awake or asleep, myasthenia gravis (a condition in which the muscles become weak and tire easily), psychiatric illness or a personality disorder (severe mental problems) and spinal or cerebral ataxia (balance issues).
Before taking AMIXIDE H TABLET inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney, heart and lung diseases. AMIXIDE H TABLET should be taken with caution if you suffer from depression, having or had a history of mental illness, having drug or alcohol abuse, having a decrease in mental function. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking AMIXIDE H TABLET.
It is not recommended to take AMIXIDE H TABLET in children and adolescents below 18 years of age. This medicine should be taken only under medical supervision as there is a chance of developing addiction, dependence and withdrawal reactions while using this medicine.
The most common side effects of taking AMIXIDE H TABLET are dry mouth, drowsiness, headache, bloating, constipation and tiredness. Talk to your doctor if any of these worsen or doesn’t improve.
