AMFY V GEL(TOPICAL) contains Amphotericin B which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-fungal agents. AMFY V GEL(TOPICAL) is used to manage acute, chronic & recurrent fungal infections, vaginal candidiasis, diaper rash, and bed sores in affected individuals.
AMFY V GEL(TOPICAL) is also used in dressing after wound debridement and burns which is also applied around tube and catheters during intubation in intensive care unit.
AMFY V GEL(TOPICAL) is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Amphotericin B. Before applying AMFY V GEL(TOPICAL), inform your doctor if you have kidney problems (such as renal impairment).
AMFY V GEL(TOPICAL) should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. The medicine is also advised to be used with caution in children & adolescents (aged below 18 years) and in elderly patients (aged above 65 years) after consulting the doctor.
The most common side-effects of applying AMFY V GEL(TOPICAL) are ulceration and induration (thickened and hardened skin), scarring, and/or swelling at the applied site. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsen.
