AMFY GEL(TOPICAL) contains Amphotericin B which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-fungal agents. AMFY GEL(TOPICAL) is used to manage acute, chronic & recurrent fungal infections, vaginal candidiasis, diaper rash, and bed sores in affected individuals.
AMFY GEL(TOPICAL) is also used in dressing after wound debridement and burns which is also applied around tube and catheters during intubation in intensive care unit.
AMFY GEL(TOPICAL) is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Amphotericin B. Before applying AMFY GEL(TOPICAL), inform your doctor if you have kidney problems (such as renal impairment).
AMFY GEL(TOPICAL) should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. The medicine is also advised to be used with caution in children & adolescents (aged below 18 years) and in elderly patients (aged above 65 years) after consulting the doctor.
The most common side-effects of applying AMFY GEL(TOPICAL) are ulceration and induration (thickened and hardened skin), scarring, and/or swelling at the applied site. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsen.
