ALVENT SYRUP contains Terbutaline which belongs to the group of medicines called bronchodilators. It is used in the management of asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) along with certain inhaled medicines. In the conditions like asthma and COPD, the airways become inflamed and swollen making it difficult to breathe.
Before taking ALVENT SYRUP, inform your doctor if you have heart or thyroid problems or diabetes. ALVENT SYRUP should be used with caution during pregnancy (especially in the end) and during breastfeeding.
Your doctor will prescribe the right dose of ALVENT SYRUP for your child depending on their age, body weight and health condition. The most common side effects of taking ALVENT SYRUP are trembling or shaking, headache, pounding or rapid heartbeats, cramps, feeling tense, etc. Consult your doctor immediately if you feel any of the symptoms getting worse.
