ALFOO 10MG TABLET contains Alfuzosin which belongs to the group of medicines called Alpha-1-blockers. It is used to provide relief from moderate to severe symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia in affected individuals.
Benign prostatic hyperplasia is a non-cancerous condition that increases the size of the prostate and it is generally characterized by symptoms such as increased urinary frequency, unusual urine color/smell, urinary urgency, weak/interrupted urine stream, and pain after urination/ejaculation.
ALFOO 10MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients who are allergic to alfuzosin or equivalent substances (such as terazosin and doxazosin). It is also not recommended for use in patients with orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure while standing up from a sitting or lying position), liver problems and should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems (such as mild, moderate and severe kidney problems).
ALFOO 10MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women as it is used only in men. It is also not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years) and it should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 and above).
The most common side effects of taking ALFOO 10MG TABLET are dizziness, headache, nausea, stomach pain, weakness and tiredness. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsens.
