Alflora Sachet is a pre and probiotic supplement used in the management of diarrhoea and dysentery, antibiotic induced diarrhoea, nosocomial diarrhoea, infectious diarrhoea and lactose intolerance. It contains racecadotril, lactic acid bacillus and saccharomyces boulardii as active ingredients to manage diarrhea due to varied reasons.
Racecadotril helps in the management of diarrhoea as it has an antisecretory mechanism. It acts on the naturally occurring substances in the body called endogenous opioids (enkephalins) and manages their degradation which reduces the secretion of water and electrolytes in the intestine without disturbing the movements of the intestine. Lactic acid bacillus replenishes beneficial bacteria in the intestine, inhibits the growth of infection-causing microbes and aids in the management of diarrhoea. Saccharomyces boulardii improves immunity and gut health by restoring the balance of intestinal bacterial flora.
Always take Alflora Sachet as advised by the doctor. Recommended dosage is 1 sachet twice daily or as directed by the doctor. For usage, dissolve the contents of the sachet in half a glass of water (100 ml) and consume it immediately. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage.
