ACNEWAR GEL contains Dapsone which belongs to the group of medicines called Sulfone antibiotics. It is used in the management of acne vulgaris (a skin condition that occurs when the hair follicles are blocked with dead skin cells, bacteria and sebum). The most common symptoms of acne vulgaris are pimples, redness, blackhead and white heads. Before using ACNEWAR GEL, inform your doctor if you have glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency, methemoglobinemia (a type of blood disorder) and if you are using other products including cosmetics or medicines applied to the skin. ACNEWAR GEL should be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding only if clearly advised by the doctor. Consult your doctor before using the medicine. This medicine is not recommended for use in children (younger than 12 years of age). ACNEWAR GEL should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above). Consult your doctor before using the medicine. The most common side effects associated with the use of ACNEWAR GEL are oiliness/ peeling, redness and dryness. Consult your doctor if any of the side effect worsens.
