ACIPANT DM TABLET is used to manage peptic ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and reflux esophagitis and its associated symptoms such as acidity, heartburn, acid reflux and pain in swallowing. It contains Pantoprazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Proton pump inhibitors. ACIPANT DM TABLET can also be used to manage peptic ulcer caused due to long-term use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (such as aspirin, ibuprofen).

Take ACIPANT DM TABLET at least 1 hour before meals to achieve maximum benefits. During management with ACIPANT DM TABLET your doctor will closely monitor kidney functions, liver functions and blood magnesium levels to avoid the risk of unwanted side effects. Before taking inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have weak bones or any previous history of bleeding in the gut.

Consult your doctor before taking ACIPANT DM TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The most common side effects are dryness of mouth, constipation and flatulence. You must also inform your doctor immediately if you experience severe tiredness with abnormal muscle movements, dizziness, confusion, disorientation and irregular heartbeat, as it could be a sign of low magnesium levels in blood.
