ACICAINE SUSPENSION is used to manage gastrointestinal disorders manifested with hyperacidity and increased gas production. It may be administered as monotherapy or to manage gastro-oesophagitis reflux, chronic diarrhea, and non-ulcer dyspepsia. ACICAINE SUSPENSION contains Aluminium hydroxide, Magnesium hydroxide, and oxetacaine, which belong to a group of medicines called Antacids and Local anaesthetics, respectively.
ACICAINE SUSPENSION is not recommended for patients with chronic renal failure. Patients should be advised not to take any oral medication within 1 to 2 hours of taking ACICAINE SUSPENSION, as it has potential interactions with other medicines. Patients should be informed that ACICAINE SUSPENSION held for a long time in the mouth may impair taste sensation because of its oxetacaine content.
Patients should be advised not to exceed the prescribed amounts of ACICAINE SUSPENSION, as it may cause hypersensitive reactions. The most common side effects of taking ACICAINE SUSPENSION are nausea and constipation. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects get worse while taking ACICAINE SUSPENSION.
